Rising food prices, public transport fares and rents have put too much pressure on our pockets. I would champion the living standards of the average Londoner, and protect the environment for us and future generations.
- Greens made Ken Livingstone increase his climate change budget from a miserly £300,000 up to £8m by his last year in office. We have since prevented Boris Johnson from cutting schemes to insulate homes, train people in green skills and create new food growing spaces across the capital.
- I made Boris Johnson create new planning policies to protect small shops, and led an Assembly investigation into their plight calling for greater support.
- Greens led the charge in London to fix London’s leaky water mains, stop the expansion of Heathrow airport and to stop the building of a new six lane road bridge over the Thames.
